Hum If You Don’t Know the Words by Bianca Marais is a book that had been on my TBR for awhile and one of my resolutions this year to is read more backlist titles. This book had a slow start, but told such a beautiful and moving story. This historical fiction book is set in South Africa in the 1970’s and covers topics of race and discrimination.
If You Want To Make God Laugh by Biana Marais is set in South Africa in the 1990’s from the perspective of 3 different women. This book felt very different from the first book and I did enjoy both.
