The Unwinding Of The Miracle by Julie Yip-Williams is a memoir that was published after the author passed away. She shares honestly about her fight against cancer. This book was sad to read as the author shares how she feels fighting cancer and the thoughts about leaving her husband and two daughters behind. She shares the practical side of which treatments and surgeries she had after her Stage IV colorectal cancer diagnosis. She was legally blind and shares how that impacted her life as a Chinese immigrant in the United States. This book was very powerful and I hope to remember the message to live life to the fullest. I would highly recommend this book.

Save Me The Plums

70C4E587-23AA-4A4C-82DE-FF92D77EABBCSave Me The Plums by Ruth Reichl is a new memoir from her time as the editor in chief of Gourmet Magazine. She shares how she received the job and the day to day decisions about the magazine. It was interesting to learn about a business that I am not familiar with. She also shares a few recipes throughout the book. This was my first book from this author and I hope to read some of her other books.

Do you enjoy reading memoirs? I have realized in the past two years of how much I enjoy memoirs. Here are some others I would highly recommend:
