Hadley Beckett’s Next Dish

Hadley Beckett’s Next Dish: A Novel by Bethany Turner is a new romance book that I really enjoyed. This story is set around two chefs on a cooking competition show. The enemy to lovers story was well done and was told from each perspective of the two main characters.  I loved the setting with all of the cooking and each chapter was titled using cooking terms. The book went back and forth between Nashville and New York City and the food scene in both locations. Thanks to Revell for this review copy.

Regretting You

Regretting You by Colleen Hoover is a new book that I purchased at her Cincinnati author event. My IRL book club read this for our February book. Overall as a group, we rated it between a 3-4 out of 5 stars. Our hostess served us lasagna and chocolate cake which were Clara’s favorite meal. Some other fun food ideas are to serve Jolly Ranchers and suckers, macaroni and cheese sandwiches or macaroni and cheese appetizers.

I have also read a few of her other books:

Central Park Pact Series

Marriage on Madison Avenue by Lauren Layne is the third book in the Central Park Pact series. I really enjoyed all 3 of these romance books and recommend reading them in order. Each book focuses on one of the three friends and their romantic life. They all take place in New York City full of fashion and romance. It was refreshing to read a great romance with closed door scenes.

I listened to the first 2 books on audio and they were delightful:

Holiday Books

Christmas At Rosie Hopkins’ Sweet Shop by Jenny Colgan was a book that I won from a Goodreads giveaway. I had not read the previous book in the series and was able to follow the story and the characters. The story is set in England and has romance and family drama. It was festive to read around Christmas.

Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory is the fourth book in this series and I would recommend reading them in order so you know the characters better. Each book features some of the same characters and they are all romance books. This new one takes place in London over the holidays and involves the royal family. This book is fun and shows a romance between a couple in their fifties. I went to an author event to hear Jasmine Guillory speak and she was delightful and made me enjoy her books even more. I gifted this adorable Out Of Print mug for my book club gift exchange.

25 Days ‘Til Christmas: A Novel by Poppy Alexander is a new Christmas romance book. It is a perfect book to read this holiday season. I loved the countdown until Christmas and all the festive fun preparing for the holidays. Even though it is a predictable romance, it covers some tough subjects like loss, sexual harassment, and suicide. Overall, I really enjoyed this holiday book. Are you reading any fun Christmas books?

The Bromance Book Club

The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams is a new contemporary romance that was such fun. I have to skip the steamy scenes, but I really liked the male main character. He is a major league baseball player with a stutter and he really loved his wife. The whole male book club that reads romance novels to better their relationships was so fun to read about. This was one of the better romance novels that I have read in awhile. Do you enjoy romance stories?
